Our Rising Stars
💫 What We Look For in a Sponsored Rider
At giddyupgirl, sponsorship isn’t just about the biggest results, the fanciest horse, or the rider with the most ribbons. For us, it’s about something deeper.
We look for riders who give their whole heart and soul to the sport. Riders who show up rain or shine, put in the hard work behind the scenes, and chase their goals with passion and determination.
Equally important, we value riders who show true sportsmanship — cheering on competitors, supporting friends, and treating everyone with kindness and respect. Because real champions aren’t only measured by their ribbons, but by the way they carry themselves in and out of the arena.
Having been in the industry for 21 years, we’ve proudly sponsored many, many riders — some of whom are now mums with their own children in the saddle. It’s a privilege to have played a small part in their journey and to watch the next generation of riders grow up with the same love for the sport.
Our goal is to support riders with talent, big dreams, and an unstoppable spirit. Whether they’re producing a young pony, balancing school with training, or riding down the centreline at a major championship, these are the riders who inspire us most.
We believe in celebrating resilience, consistency, and the love of the journey, as much as the thrill of a win. Because at the heart of it all, it’s about the dreamers, the doers, and the horse-obsessed kids who remind us why we started riding in the first place.
That’s why we’re so proud to back our giddyupgirl sponsored riders — they represent not only the heart of the sport but also the future of Australian equestrian sport. ✨🐴
✨ Ally Wills – Showing - SINGLETON, NSW✨
At just 12 years old, Ally Wills has already carved out an impressive name for herself in the show horse world. Her passion began at age 7 when her eldest sister — a keen horse girl — convinced her to ride by doubling bareback together on a farm. From there, the spark was lit.
Ally’s first pony, a very special Welsh A named Sammy, taught her the ropes and gave her the confidence to step into the show ring. Incredibly, within her first 12 months of riding, Ally qualified for her rider class at the Grand Nationals — a moment that ignited her eagerness to train hard and dream big.
Since then, Ally has gone from strength to strength, competing across Northern NSW and Queensland, and partnering with two exceptional ponies, Bamborough Bank Note and Rocky Hill Prince Charming, who helped her secure multiple championships, reserves, and more Grand National qualifications.
In 2025, Ally’s riding took another exciting step forward. Training under the guidance of Andrew Buckley and Jnr Holtzhausen at EB Lodge in the Hunter Valley, Ally now has the opportunity to ride and compete on some of the country’s most successful horses. This experience has been transformative — not only sharpening her skills in the show ring but also introducing her to dressage. Riding Jnr’s incredible 17.2hh warmblood, Darcy, sparked a whole new passion. Competing Darcy in her rider class at the 2025 Grand Nationals was an unforgettable highlight that has inspired Ally to expand her riding ambitions even further.

We’re so proud to have her on Team Giddyupgirl — and we can’t wait to see what this pocket rocket achieves next! 🚀✨
✨ Tahlia O’Reily - Dressage - YERRINBOOL NSW ✨
Tahlia has been passionate about horses from the very beginning. Most recently, Tahlia made a name for herself by winning the NSW 2024 Combined Primary Interschools Championship, scoring an outstanding 77% in her dressage test against 26 riders from across the state. ✨ Lexi Wales - Show Jumper & Dressage - 7y - HEYWOOD VIC✨
Lexi is the definition of a true horse girl – she got her very first pony for her very first birthday, and from that moment, there’s been no stopping her! 🐴💫
With her beloved pony Alfie by her side, Lexi has built an unbreakable bond. While the journey hasn’t always been smooth sailing, together they’ve shown the kind of determination and resilience that makes them an unstoppable team.
Now with a small but mighty team of ponies, Lexi regularly competes in combined training, dressage, and showjumping, as well as being an active member of Pony Club. She has already qualified two ponies for the Interschool State Championships in Dressage and has her sights set on qualifying her third. This year’s show season is set to be an exciting one, and Lexi can’t wait to get her ponies out and about.

Lexi has been on an incredible run of consistent results, showing the kind of focus and talent that promises a very bright future.
Last year, Lexi and her young pony Mimi enjoyed a successful first season together on the agricultural show circuit, collecting plenty of Championships and Reserves. It was Mimi’s very first time out showing, and the pair handled it brilliantly. This season, we’re expecting even bigger things from them as their partnership continues to blossom.
When she’s not competing, you’ll find Lexi at clinics or in lessons, always eager to learn and grow. Turning 8 is a milestone she can’t wait for, as it means stepping into the world of eventing – something she’s been dreaming of! She is also producing a young pony, carefully and confidently bringing her up through the grades, with all the makings of a future superstar.
Her dreams reach far beyond the pony ring. Lexi hopes to one day ride for Australia at the Olympics and build her own showjumping stable. Big goals, but with her work ethic and love for the sport, she’s well on her way.
